Carolyn Hall - Crew Chief
Carolyn has over 25 years of marketing and sales experience with corporations, largely in the technology field. She was responsible for developing, directing and implementing key initiatives in marketing communications, online promotions, product launch and marketing, sales lead generation and public relations/investor relations for companies ranging from hardware and software, to software training, internet development and Web hosting. In this capacity, her duties included: creating the corporation marketing campaign; implementation of programs, including e-marketing, advertising, tradeshows and direct mail campaign; managing both a PR firm and an advertising agency, including creation of the annual report. She also supported the direct sales effort with competitive analysis, case studies, porposal content, positioning statements, magazine articles and white papers. She was also responsible for the design and creation of brochures, product manuals, internal and external newsletters and other sales collateral.
Carolyn first became interested in ballooning over 20 years ago, when she assisted a local commercial pilot in promotional flights. For the past 3 years, Carolyn participated in marketing many ballooning events, including Freedom Weekend Aloft, the Balloon Federation of America National Championships and the Coupe Gordon Bennett International Gas Balloon Competition. She assists in promoting local events for the company, including providing marketing support for the Financial Times balloon from England and the World Record flight attempts by Andy Cayton.
Carolyn holds a music performance degree in piano from Samford University and taught public and private school music and art for 6 years. Her creative talents include watercolor painting, and creative writing. She is the mother of 2 daughters, also artists and ballooning enthusiasts.
